hey guys just wondering if your afr follows the fuel map, i can make changes in tunerpro and it will never be right on. i was just wondering is everyones like that. my mas is stock except for the little screw in the bottom is turned out flush.......

nope no leaks ! i do think my fuel pressure gauge is bad because i have to have it turned up to 60 psi just to get it this close on the fuel curve.

If you turn the screw out, I forget if it leans the mixture or richens it, but i think leans it. Try putting it back to original position. You may have an exhaust leak or other issue as well.

If your wideband is too far from where it should be, it could be slow to react giving you false readings.

i'll try putting it back to stock !

i do have it in place of the rear o2 sensor ! but if that was the case everyone else runnning it in the rear 02 will have the same problem and all the dynos with the exhaust o2 probe would be wrong !

I know with the evo ecu I've been playing with there are a lot of enlean/enrich maps that mess with that target A/F ratio depending on different circumstances. Lean spool, warmup, warning meters, etc all act as modifiers to the target map and make consistent tuning harder. I'm not familiar with tunerpro but if it is modifying maps on the stock ecu then that could be part of the problem.

I'll second the MAF messing with you map as well but over time the computer should be able to compensate for that using the fuel trims.

To find an exhaust leak pick up a bottle of seafoam and run it through your engine. It creates a thick white exhaust cloud that will make any exhaust leaks abundantly apparent.

i may try that. i am ordering a new fp gauge, because when i first got mine it was stuck on 20 psi when turned off and hung on that for a while so i don't know if it is off now.....

These are the open loop maps. The fuel trims have no effect on the open loop maps only closed loop.

The MAF reading not enough air will put you lower on your fuel map. Less load.

How much boost are you running? May be MAF overrun. You'll see this if you have x2 AF Hz logging enabled on your chip. You can tell by a log if the airflow goes up up up then level out and get choppy. This especially happens at higher boost levels on a 1g MAF somewhere in the 2100-2200 hz area.

Then again I have had the same problem in the past with my AF not reading the same as the map. My fuel trims read that I needed to lean it out but my AF @ WOT read leaner than my map. What I did to solve this was to mess with the injector and deadtime settings till my map matched then used the MAF compensation to get my fuel trims inline. Now everything is good.
