1st is the dam good question: i have asked many fellow dsm drivers local and non local with no selected answer ..dont know why
here it is
where on a 93 eagle talon tsi is the knock sensor with pics i have been looking for the answer and pics for over a week + |
i have been told 4 different places ...i just want and answer with a pick

my 2nd question possible easy
i have no 1st or 2nd gear completely double clutch blah blah not my 1st talon my last one 2nd gear would go in with double clutch or pop out
mine had no 1st or 2nd no matter what if its in 1st or 2nd as soon as the clutch is coming up it will pop out ..no stall or nothing just pops out to neutral..some in the tranny is gone yes we all get it but what could it be i will be ripping it apart to see what it is (will be my 1st tranny rip apart/possible rebuild)- dont plan on it being the 1st of course since i love dsm's (insert heart symbol here)
would 1st and 2nd syncros be that toasted from what i've read its one or the other? i am no transmission expert of course ...looking for some insight on this :thumb:

thanks in advance

Damn good answer to the damn good question:

http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newbie-forum/181809-2g-knock-sensor-location.html

(the search function is your friend).

Answer to the second question: could be several things. Try out that newly discovered search function. :D

And some friendly advice... You are going to catch hell for this (and for good reason), but please work on your grammar and punctuation a bit. We aren't English teachers, but showing a little effort in proper communication will go a long ways towards people wanting to help you....just as a post that looks like it was typed by a 12 yr-old in the hood on a cheap cell phone will cause most of us to pass it by without a second glance. ;)

^ Ah beat me too it with a dam good answer. LOL

The knock sensor is on the back of the block under the intake manifold.

Post your pic back up. Never hurts to have another pic. ;)

I realized it's from my 3g 4g64 project, but I'll try to find one from my 2g. God knows I've had the engine out enough times.

Here we go. Notice that it's right on the block under the intake manifold so it's well hidden when the engine is in the car.

It's right there............................................ ^^^^^

To be more specific its the only wire that diredtly goes right into the back of the block right below the intake mani. Next time please use commas and periods.
As for the gear problem you need to be more specific or use the search button. Saying "no 1st or second gear" doesn't narrow down a lot.
Try searching "bad synchro" and read a little and see if that's what your problem is

At least they got the answer to your damn good question before the ridicule :)

since when is a 93 a 2g?
grammar sorry guys no gr 12 here LOL !!!!!
i know what bad syncros feel like and this is not that,...sounds more like a roll pin is broke ? possible a 1-2nd fork  not sure of the correct name !...

also after checking the 2g link..i feel dumb as they are the same motors, wow why would no one point this out to me sooner?? see this is why i love these dsm sites everyone has the true and proper answers.... thanks everyone :D :D

and i have also used the search here and dsm talk to find nothing i was looking for..also had a shop look into it as well and they came up with nothing LOL

grammar sorry guys no gr 12 here LOL !!!!!
If I find a post time-stamped later than this where you're willfully ignoring our site rules and a subsequent request to follow them, you'll need to find a new site to mouth-breathe on...

:notgood:

A 93 is a 7 bolt. Your not supposed to use "LOL" here. All it takes is a little capitalization and punctuation. They dont even rip your head off to hard for not using commas. I know capitalizing and punctuation marks is well before grade 12. You spelled damn wrong to. :thumb:

You shouldn't begin a sentence with "and". :D

It hurt me to attempt to make sense of this much of your post. I'm glad some other members were able to offer you some insight.

You shouldn't begin a sentence with "and". :D

And technically, you shouldn't use "..." as a separator, which I do all the time. But it's perfectly legible. :D

Everyone makes mistakes, and many grammatical shortcuts are perfectly acceptable. It's more about the overall readability of the post and making an effort to at least appear like a high school graduate.

Tip for the OP. When u search make sure you hit the drop down box that says "search entire post" and change it to search titles only. It took me forever to realize that and I felt like a flaiming idiot, but it makes a world of difference.

Im sorry but this was really funny to read. But I had the same problem when I was new mostly spelling though (im illiterate), so I googled words to get the right spelling. To the OP if you use google, ask the question then put dsm after, you shuld get your answer in one of the first couple of links.

EX.

google.com

knock sensor location dsm

1st or 2nd link will be this website about 90% of the time.

Or just go "Site:dsmtuners.com where is the knock sensor located?" in google and you'll have your answer.

Had a 91 before , just haven't updated it yet..I will right now :thumb:
Thanks everyone i know how to search now "properly" :aha:

Hey, if this is going to be a staff-go-anal thread, may I point out that there's a huge difference between "dam" and "damn"? The former refers to an Asian (Indian?) coin that isn't worth much (hence: "not worth a dam") while the other is the obvious religious reference.

Personally, I'm half way tempted to say a lot of the posts on this thread were reapetative and nearly useless. After the first moderator had obviously warned him and most likely gave him a P.M with a warning; it seamed like a "beatdown" on the op. I'm not a moderator but I have been an active member for years now, and this was more like every one felt as if they should just jump in and tell the op to (more or less) talk like an adult instead of a child, after severall members had already told him the rules but gave him insight as well. Almost can be seen as "flaming". My 0.2 cents
