i want to get rid of my 2g maf, ### its an eye sore, and i dont like the way it looks, and i also want to run a Tial BOV. if i run a blow though setup maf and maft will i still be ale to tune witht the DSMlink.. i dont want to use the maft as a tuning device, just so i can use the GM maf. can i just zero everything out on the maft so its not sending false info(or lying) to the ecu.

Or does anyone know if DSMlink v3 will be GM maf compatable?

When using the MAFT with DSMLink, you'd zero out all the settings and make sure was calibrated to the original injectors that came with your car (e.g. 450s). All fuel/airflow adjustments would be made thru DSMLink.

There is a ton of info on the MAFT on DSMLink's User Forum

As an FYI, tuning with a MAFT + DSMLink is often hit/miss and more than a few have swapped back to a 2G/3G MAS (including DSMers making > 500WHP) since they are much more consistant over a wide range of temperature/pressure/humidity.

DSMLink v3 (release date TBA) will have GM MAF functionality built-in so would not need the MAF Translator :dsm:

If you are referring to buying DSMLink itself, I would not wait as the release date of V3 is undetermined and the upgrade cost from the current version *should* be marginal (if you wanted the extra features).

Getting the car up and running well with the 2g MAS with the current version is IMO preferred as one less "uncertainty" to get in your way :dsm:
