Well I was finishing up my 6-bolt build today (im a 1st timer so its taken me a while). But when I went to put on my rear main seal I was going to get the bolts from my old 7 bolt rear main seal (my 7 bolt motor had a million things happen at once)

Anyways my 7bolt's rear main seal was only held on by 1 bolt and no gasket. Would that have leaked like niagra falls, enough to cause some of my engine problems i had?

There is a circular seal that goes around the rear crank snout, and the assembly is held in by 5 small bolts. Slowboy Racing sells both the bolts and the seal.

You didnt answer his question. Just just stated something that is already obvious to him.

Yes, it will cause a major leak if there is no gasket or sealant and 4 bolts missing. I dont know what other problems you had so I dont know if this was the cause to them.
