I Have pressed in my rear main seal without oil or lube on it, after I read that people put oil on them first, is that just to ease installation or does it help provide the seal like when you put some oil on the seal of a new oil filter?

Should I pull it back out and replace it? Or will the seal be fine?

Well I've always been told to put oil on any seal such as the rear main seal. I believe one of the main reason why is so the inner lip don't roll over while you put the seal in causing the tension spring to come out. As long as you know this did not happen, the I say your good to go.
