02 dump worth getting?

Do they make a 3" o2 dump housing? Will it eliminate boost creep?

A dumped o2 housing really won't do much of anything for boost creep. Either run a smaller exhaust, port the wastegate passage in the hotside, port the hotside inlet, or switch to an external wastegate. The exhaust and porting solutions aren't 100% guaranteed, but get creep under control for most people; the only guaranteed solution is a (larger) external wastegate.

You dont necesarily need a dump housing, just a 3" housing that dumps back into the dp. It frees up your exhaust much like any other exhaust mod. It can cause creep unfortunately. There is a tech writeup on here on extending the stock wg actuator to make it open more, as the stock actuator doesnt fully open the wastegate, which will help eliminate creep

Don't waste your time with a dump. Doesn't fix boost creep and sounds like an huge exhaust leak (which I think sounds like crap). I would just pay the extra and go external and be done with it

External gates cause their own problems i.e. room plus the cost of a decent gate and manifold. Unless you were going with a nonstock turbo, not really worth it imo

External gates are expensive. Plus to have the manifold welded. This stuff isnt cheap. There good if your running a bigger turbo. But this could work.

I love the sound of o2 dumps, but it's all opinion. As for the creep issues, it will probably help it, but like mentioned you may just have wastegate problem where it's not opening enough.

But as to your original question, is a custom o2 housing worth getting? Greatly depends on your plans for the car. If you think youll want to upgrade to a higher flowing turbo, no. But if you just want to max out that lil 16g, then yes. Every little bit helps when it comes to flow

Porting the wastegate passage in the turbo can help, yes. Porting the o2 housing would help with flow, but won't do any good to combat boost creep.
