My car has been running like crap since i installed this 02 dump. Did 3 boost leak tests thinking that a boost leak might be my problem. Pretty sure i have no leaks. I think the 02 dump might be messing up my oxygen sensors readings. Bad hesitation when the waste gate opens. Mostly in first and second. Not sure thats it either tho becuase my idle was going up and down when cold, now idle is going up and down all the time (getting worse). Check engine light was on and off for coolent temp sensor witch i replaced last year. I cut off the factory coolent temp sensor connector and used speaker connector prongs(dont know there name) correctly. No check engine light now. Changed the plugs when the issue started. Plugs are ngk bpr 7 gapped around 20. Through out the years ive had to replace almost every sensor. 92 octain fuel. Basically my question is, could the 02 dump be the problem?

well you may have answered a problem already. is this the 1 pin coolant temp sensor or 2 pin? one goes to the ecu and tells the ecu when the engine is warmed up and switches to the open loop mode. this will be a problem if its for the ecu. idle up and down can be a faulty maf and bad idle air control valve. as for the waste gate and o2, i think the 02 sits infront of the waste gate recirculation tube so it doesn't get the gasses. but i'm probably wrong on that.

For the coolent temp i made sure the wires were correct. I know the waste gate isnt sticking becuase when it actuates the 02 dump is loud. How can i test the idle air control valve? Also theres no check engine light on now. You would think if the maf was bad there would be a check engine light on. Ty for the responses. Im eager to do some tests and get this figured out.

a bad maf won't always throw a code. same for the coolant sensor. some sensors won't always throw a code if its bad. if you just twisted the 2 wires together it won't get the right signal. it uses a thermo resistor and changes voltage to the ecu.

iac testing i think the only way to really tell is to pull it out and turn the key on. if its good you'll see it move. you can also test the resistance in the terminals to
