What a machine! Awesome continued work. I'll make it to the shootout one year. I need to see these great cars in person.

Small progress update- I went ahead and made my own quick release bumper system. Pretty happy with how it turned out. Number one thing is it’s functional.



Next I moved onto re-wrapping the rear of the car. I got the rear quarters done but I think due to the age of sitting in a box almost 3 years it has lost its adhesive traits. Not happy with how it turned out and I didn’t have enough to do the rear bumper. So I went ahead and ordered a small amount to get that addressed. Looking at 7-10 days before it arrives.


Next up on the list is getting the new AGR spec trailing arms on. I knocked out one side last night and I’ll get the other one today. Uploaded pictures to show the difference in clearance although a picture with wheel on would probably be better. Chipping away at the to do list. Thank you Natfab!

In so much of a crunch trying to get this thing together in time. I got the rear quarters and bumper re-wrapped. Also finally did the door handles so they’re not white anymore.Another big thing on the to do list was installing the aero catch hood pins.



Always a big worrisome when drilling into the carbon hood because it’s one shot. Did the old eye ball test but I think they’re pretty straight.


Got my side exit modified for the new tubular front end and installed those cross bolts for safety tech and then mounted the catch pan. I for sure thought I was going to have to modify my dump tubes but they actually fit perfect so win win on that one. Not much time to get cerakote done on the exhaust components so this winter or something I’ll mess with it.



Next up is getting the passenger seat permanently mounted and then figuring out how and where to install the new puke tank setup. I went ti a glass place to try and remove the oem rear hatch glass but the shop did not want to touch it due to fear of destroying the oe trim. I’m at the point where I hate having to swap back and forth for one race “the shootout” dumb rule to me. I would eventually like to install the OE glass on the carbon hatch. Good news is about 2 months ago I called in a favor to boosted fab for a new front subframe. This 2G trans is just physically larger than the 1G setup and I don’t like how close the front diff cover is to my current subframe. Just got word it’s shipping today talk about real close! Still lots to do and very little time. Any chance to TNT before the shootout is out of the window at this point. I really do not like the fact I have to go completely untested on a new engine and transmission setup but that’s the cards I’ve been dealt right now. Not going for a number or trying to win, after 2 years I just want to make some solid a-b passes.

Masfab mirror deletes just arrived. I’ve tried 2 other designs and this is by far the best one to me. Excellent quality and a small weight reduction of 4.5lbs total. I know in 2024 shootout form my race weight was 2847lbs, I’ll be doing a weigh in once I’m done. Back to work on the passenger seat mount. More updates incoming!

Alright so we got the passenger seat mounted, the puke tank 95% done. Just need to finish running the hose to rear of car. Chopped out the OEM glass and removed the lexan on carbon hatch. Then glued the factory glass into the carbon hatch. Chopped down the side exit to be a little more flush. I’m going to wait for the hatch glass to cure overnight before I mess with installing the drag wing. Still quite a bit to do and in a short amount of time but progress is progress.

So we wrapped up the final install of the puke tank. I really wanted to vent out of the rear hatch but not enough hose and not enough time to get the stuff I need. Placed it out of sight and should pull the fumes down the track nicely. Either way a huge upgrade and no more worrying about blowing oil all over the bay anymore.

Took a full day to get the drag wing installed. Lots and lots of measuring then final install. I think it looks pretty sick. Went straight level this go around. I had to order some emergency 1.25” dom so I can extend my parachute mount. Right now it would hit the chute so big no go. That won’t arrive until tomorrow.

Boosted fab front subframe just showed up so time to get busy! Absolutely no time to get a laser alignment done so going to bust out the old tape measures and tapes. Some times you just have to do what you have to. No idea how the hell I'm gonna have this thing done in time for the shootout but still trying. If it’s not done by tomorrow afternoon I’m calling it and will spectate this year.
