Gonna try this - wove ends of bare copper together and then flowed in some solder, trimmed down to a smooth ball, insulated and covered with a tough sleeve where the oem metal bracket could eventually go.

Drilling out bolts is my favorite thing!
Harness ready for mock up so I can get the final length on the plug wires. The only thing left in my way are 2 snapped off bolts - the one I really need out is on the knuckle.

I’m feeling confident after reaching the M8 tap size 17/64 hand drilling with an old corded drill. I had a metal gasket to shield the axel boot from errant drill bits, and it saved me 3 times.

I started the work of setting the tap to work, with the sensor in place to ensure tap position and alignment. I got the tap to start and backed it out and removed the sensor. On putting the tap back in, finding the initial threads, I started to crank. After a few turns, I’d back it out to clean it and oil it

Then- snap - horror - disbelief - pleading - sadness, and frustration all in the span of 10 seconds.

and all attempts with pliers, and a well placed punch and tap with hammer yielded no reverse out progress. sofa king … bleh

They make a tool that slides down the flutes to remove them. Assuming they're not stuck. Maybe a few well placed pins could do the same?

While I wait for an extraction tool to arrive, I was able to successfully drill out and tap the other snapped bolt. No hits on to the classified add looking for the brackets. The search continues.

Nope, ABS light still on after test drive - so I started trying some things from this document:

The diagnostics PDF outlines different methods for pulling codes depending on FWD vs AWD. The sweep meter method for AWD did not work for me - I turn on the key, the ABS light does its rapid flash 3 times? - and then off for a moment, then on solid. Using the volt meter between pin (8 and 4-5) results in a constand 11.5v as soon as the key is on. No codes revealed that way. I even tried grounding pin 1 and then turned on the key. This turned on the ABS light constant as soon as the key was enabled. The ABS light says on, until I disconnect pin 1 from ground - then the abs light flashed 3 times? and I could hear relay clicks - and then it comes on solid again.

Gonna have to go component by component, starting at the ABS computer in the foot well. (I suspect the pump) If the wiring to the corners and relays check out, maybe I'll learn how to manually try to engage the pump to see if anything is moving.

I think the Bosch sensors are probably not going to work in the end. I'm reading that the nippondenso system cutover to Bosch in 95 was a completely different sensor. The Bosch sensors I have probably won't work.

Project creep, Nippon abs ltd wheel sensors cannot be found. The sensors I have are for the Bosch ABS system that was installed with late 95’s. finding a bosch control module for cheap was easy. Finding a Bosch ABS pump is possible. The chassis wiring is different. The hardest part, switching the wiring and plugs.
