I'm getting a timing belt job done and the mechanic gave me some bad news that the lower timing belt cover is cracked. Is there anyway to repair one or anyone making any new ones? It's on a 95 eclipse gsx

can bond it back together for now but many are saying they are working on them. so hopefully they will have something available this year in both 6 bolt and 7 bolt options

As I recall also be careful should you remove the middle timing cover. People break it trying to bend it around the vertical engine mounting studs - I did mine (especially when it's stiff with age). It helps to first remove those studs (first support engine with jack under oil pan) to safely remove/install that cover.

I'm having road race engineering work on my car. They're currently doing a full timing belt job and told me the lower cover is cracked and like pinned back together with bolts, washers or something. They warned me not to drive it in the rain. I found a used one here that doesn't look cracked in the classifieds and ordered it. I'm guessing I'll have to go back and have them replace it. Here's the timing cover I ordered.

A plastic welder, used correctly, would fix a Crack. Use some ABS Cement to overlay it after trimming the welder zigzag things tabs, and it should hold fine. I just patched a ATV fender with mine.
Good luck! ✌️
