Alright... i think i already know the answer but how bad is this flywheel looking? my TOB clip came apart, throw out bearing puked its ball bearings into here as i found lots of dust and no bearings. I have a new pressure plate and disc and was about to install the thing but i realized this flywheel is probably f***ed when these marks didnt wipe off... figured i would ask here just to see what you guys think

surface is still looking and feeling perfectly flat, i cannot feel and of the visible "spots", you can really only see them. I installed the flywheel new and its only got maybe 4k miles on it.. and thats probably a high estimate.

The reason the thing failed is bc i used a shitty retaining clip, currently have a New OEM retaining clip ready to use this time

i think these hot spots were caused by the ball bearings from the throw out bearing falling out of it bc i dont rip on the clutch or take off hard in first even

Also Flywheel has never been cut

I'm far from an expert but the hot spots were caused by slipping the clutch either by operator or due to the malfunction of the TOB.

IMO, you have a choice, you can ship it, scuff it up with some sand paper, or have it and the step height cut.
Hopefully one of the experts will fill us both in.

I put in a ticket at a local machine shop for resurfacing and won't hear back until at least monday. I read on ACT's website all their flywheels can be resurfaced so at least i won't have to shell out for a new one, but im almost tempted to just throw it back together anyway.
