So I got it and the electrical was all screwed up. Apparently sitting like 6 years will do that. Got that straightened out and the turbo took a crap. Now it has been replaced with a 14b off of a first gen. I decided to do a boost leak test just to make sure I got everything good and tight and the funniest thing happened. I couldn't get it on top dead center with all the timing marks lined up. As best as I can tell it is at least a few teeth off. Give or take. This thing was showing 190 psi across the board on compression before, now I am scared to look at it. This is my first dsm and for the life of me I can't see the appeal in these freaking things. I don't know what to do. Do I pull the motor and put a new timing belt on it and pray that fixes everything, or do I rip the whole motor apart and get the valves replaced? I just want the damn thing to run and drive for now. If I can get that maybe one day dhow the road maybe I can start shooting for more hp even though there's no replacement for displacement. I am really starting to think I should have stuck with v8's. Any
ideas on the next course of action would be really appreciated. Thanks guys
