I have an act 2600 clutch on an awd stage two shep trans. I had the stock slave go out an had trouble shifting so i grab a first gen slave an throw it on. Lasts for a few weeks. I was out doing a few practice launches and it didnt wanna grab second the right way. I get the car up in the air slide the boot back for the slave an fluid poors out.

Do i need some sorta performance slave or just buy one from advance where i work and if so we have the front wheel drive slave in stock but dont have the awd one in stock. Is there difference between the awd an fwd? Any suggestions welcome here.

Jack from Jackstransmissions says to only use oem master and slaves, but I'm using aftermarket both and not having any problems, I figure they have L.L.W.'s so if they go bad I'll just slap a new one on, I just changed my master in about 15 mins total.

Alright thank you very much for the help anyone know if theres a difference between fwd an awd slave cylinders?

There is a difference but I know that the fwd will work on an awd with little to no modification, the awd is a pain to bleed due to where the bleeder valve is located, do a quick search on slave cylinder's and you'll find it, I was just reading the thread last week.

Funny!ROFLROFL I just had the same problem. I was leaving a buddies house last night. I started the car and went to put it into reverse and I got a nasty grind into reverse and the car kinda jumed back and died. I thought, WTF!, I got out and noticed my clutch pedal was on the floor.

So the car is still sitting at my buddies and I am waiting on a new slave cylinder!:thumb::thumb:
