xtd pressure plate defect??

hey all i bought a xtd stage 4 kit. the pressure plate for some reason has a slight machine cut on the side of the face plate. which took about 3mm off the face plate making totally off so i sent them a email and they sent me a new one but the new one has the same little cut on the side just not as deep maybe 1mm. so i email them back and there reply was that it was not a defect they been selling clutches since 1996 and never had a problem. ive sent him pictures and everything and hes saying that im looking at the wrong area ( front cover of pp ) which i am not.. check out these pictures and tell me if this is normal???

so its fine to use then?? because my last xtd pp was perfect with no shaved material.

what does it look like with it mounted with the disc and on the fly wheel. as long as it would cover the whole disc i wouldnt worry about it
