x-fer case question

Ok so I started getting alot of squeaking from under my car. Called slowboy racing and they got me set up with new carrier bearings. So now I am just rebuilding my whole driveshaft for peace of mind. However I now think it is my x-case that was making the noise. There is a nice groove where the yoke goes in the case... And another question that I have is....is it normal for the x-case to not leak anything once I remove the driveshaft? Because it didnt and I believe that may be why it went crappy on me. Had no fluid???? And yes I know about the recall, I will be calling soon about it. Just curious about the fluid issue. Thanks in advance FOR the responses.

good luck with a transfercase recall, Today I had to swallow my pride and pay 1803.29 for a new transfer case. Mitsubishi seriously need to learn more about cars before they talk to you though, they told me my boost controller voided my previouse recall work.

You were royally screwed. I'd ask a lawyer.
