WTF car is dead 94 tsi awd

Hey everyone just recently i was having problems with my stereo and i blew a few fuses, and fried my cd player. Now all of the sudden all that comes on are the interior lights and warning lights on the dash, but they're real dim though. I'm kind of a newbie so i was wondering what the problem could be, it smells weird in there, but not like the nasty fish smell that i've heard its like. I think my ecu is fried because when i turn the key all i get is a click, i took the ecu out and there are no signs of anything wrong, any help would be great....thanks guys

did you check the voltage of your battery?

Edit: too late, bah. Next step= dead battery probably not getting charged i.e. blown alt fuse.

if your ecu is clicking, youre fawked, its fawked, send it to steve for repair, his name on these forums is straight up Steve. Hes the ecu man.
