So....What's next?
It's rebuild time... again.
I'm thinking of this-
DSM Graveyard - Your #1 Source for DSM Parts!
Anyone else have suggestions?

Glad to see you're getting it running again soon.
More importantly, any thoughts on the cause of this?
I'll defintaly look into the cause. But for the next few months I'm probably just going to save up and do the build in a short amount of time. Rather than spending paycheck to paycheck on it being broke the whole time.
I may even just buy another car and keep the talon as a secondary toy. I'm still debating my options.
hey when ## re rebuilding it if you still have balance shafts in it do those bearings too, they relativly cheap and ## oil pump is gonna send garbage straight to them.I never did have them checked but I plastigauged it and they were all within spec.
I just tapped the old rod bolts out and tapped new ones in.

I had the same thing happen to me at about the same timing on the motor. It all turned out to be my fault. I mis matched two of my rod caps. caused me to lose the crank and two rods but only shingled one rod bearing. Pay attention to rod and cap paring and don't let anyone interupt you when assembling.
