It depends on how much power you want it too hold. ACT is a good brand imo.

Pretty sure he was asking about the actually condition of the surface....not ACT 2600 as a clutch itself.

To the OP, I've personally run rougher, but basically use it at your own risk. Looks like quite a bit of hot spots.

yeah, i was referring to the surface.

i fear slipping. the build i got planned, with e85, i'm expecting to push around 500whp on the stock tranny. if i'm gonna do that..wanna atleast have a good clutch

i'd do a resurface. thought about that as well. i'm doing an awd swap, trying to finish this evo 3 head, and finish my 7 blade hx35 e85 setup all at the same time, so money is tight. resurfacing is worth it. slipping=no good

That's what fears me the most. Granted, besides the occasionalm highway pull, a few runs down the strip, and a dyno pull, the car will see its max potential barely. I'm sure it will be...okay

I had a similar question some time ago and emailed ACT with a pic. This is the response:

Hello,

From the pictures that you sent I can see that there are some hot spots
on the pressure plate which implies that there was a fair amount of
slipping that occurred causing the face to "smear". With a lot of heat
you can get warpage on the face which can cause problems. The acceptable
range for warpage is .000" - .020". Best case scenario is that your
pressure plate is not warped beyond the .020" and you scuff the surface
of the face with a fine grit sandpaper or emery cloth to smooth the
surface irregularities.

ACT never recommends resurfacing a pressure plate because material
removed can drastically alter the working range of the diaphragm
required for release travel to the point where the pressure plate no
longer works.
