I was looking at the datalogger and the clutch.

Are ebay clutches a terrible idea?

never never never never, buy a used clutch for your car. Iy was broke in and seated for a different fly wheel. Not to mention that it may have become soaked with oil from a bad seal, wich would make it useless under high load. A good rule of thumb, if the part can wear out from normal wear and tear, then you do not want to buy a used one. ( i.e. clutch, brake pads, flywheels, hoses, seal and gaskets.) Another thing to keep in mind is E-bay is kind of hit and miss. I have had great results with some items, then turn around and get ripped off the next. Save your self alot of time and trouble and get a new clutch, have your flywheel re-surface or replaced, and be shure to let it break in for at least 500 miles before you give it full power. Replacing the clutch is a large job, you don't want to get a bad part and have to do it all over again do you?

Atm i have my engine/trans out. So im doing some upgrades while ive got it apart. Good of a time as any.

Things like headers and dataloggers should be ok? I know i have to be weary about the seller but items like that are ok?

i would try to buy new headers because you might end up with someone else's cracked headers. try to just find a nice evo3 header if thats what you want. as for the clutch, just get a new one from a reputible shop. data loggers are a good ebay item, but you can find them here in the classifieds as well.
