CF hatch + Plexiglass rear window = Love love love.

Even Fiberglass hatch would do it. The rear hatch is just so heavy with all that glass and steel. C-West has made a similar product for 3rd gen RX-7's.

Magnusmotorsports has fiberglass body parts. (fenders, hood, doors, hatch) They used to have pics on their site, but I think they are still putting everything together. Give them a call, and they should be able to get help you out. I also believe they can put plexi glass for an additional amount. But those parts are expensive. Over 6-700 for the hatch I believe.

whats the bid deal? im sure the stock one isnt even that heavy and if you really cared you could just take it off. but i guess you would have holes, but still the weight reduction wouldnt even make that much difference. plus it would probably look like ass

The stock high wing just doesn't have enough adjustability (read: None at all) or function to make it worth the cost over one of the carbon fiber wings made by people like C-West, AB Flug, etc.

Magnus makes the fiberglass doors, hood, bumper, etc. Look them up.

Its allpreference. I love the look of the stock hi-rise and was going to do it but, the point of moding your car is to look different than stock. If its carbon fiber, people would know this was purchsed after market, and I never seen it so the originality factor plays a big part aswell

I want one just as bad. I've had this idea when I bought my Talon, but never thought of it being actually made until i saw the CF chin. So I'm just as excited for this happening. And when we do get one, the next person who has it, will be a few states away. So we can still be original around where we live

The holes won't match up. You are going to have to get them covered and make new ones for the turbo spoiler.

i agree about the cf body parts... that hatch is frikin heavy, also the lip is intriguing man cf is the only way, if wight was reduced on 2gs.... there would be death to all comers

The heaviest part of the hatch is the glass. There isnt much to the hatch other than that! But cf would be nice

honestly, if we could lighten up the 2g (and 1gs I AM biased ) it would improve the handling A LOT along with suspension mods it would be killer...specially getting rid of a lot of the weight in the back. No I don't want the CF spoiler...at least not yet...I want to get Rims, coilovers, and cf hood first...the idea of a cf hatch is really nice, cf is stronger and better and doesn't break the way fiberglass does right? Wouldn't a fiberglass hatch be subject to breaking easier? Damn CF hood + cf hatch + plexiglass rear window - rear seats - spare tire - rear seat belts + cf driveshaft (awd owners) and maybe a driveaxle for (fwd and awd owners) = 150-200 lbs lighter just guessing and the driveaxle/shaft would improve whp by reducing rotation mass/inertia

I'd think I'd get fiberglass doors over carbon fiber doors. CF is a little overkill for doors. The hatch in CF is good though.
