Okay... so the car was running decent (minus a phantom boost leak) but I finally got around to mounting my small battery today. (I've had the battery for more than a year)

I had the battery on the charger all night and did a test crank with it before I began the install and it was fine. (Odyssey PC680)

So I proceed to uninstall the old battery and the battery tray. Underneath the tray I come across the Purge Control Valve and the small part that goes to the Charcoal/Evap Canister.

Since this stuff (I thought) wasn't doing anything anyway and probably the source of a boost leak I've been hunting, I decided to remove this stuff. I rerouted the vacuum lines to the appropriate places and capped off what needed to be, and finished the battery install.

Okay, so I'm done. I hop in the car and it cranks on the first try but is running terribly rich, idling at 3k and blowing black smoke out of the exhaust. Okay, no problem, I probably just forgot to plug in a vac line or cap something. Sure enough, I forgot to plug in the EGR solenoid. Plugged it back up, got in the car, and now it won't start...

I tried a couple of different things, but no luck. I figured I assumed wrong and maybe I needed all the stuff I removed... so I hooked it back up.. still no start. So now I'm lost. I've checked and rechecked all the lines and they are hooked up as they were before. I have attached an image of how I had the lines hooked up the first time it would not start.

Someone guide me on what to try next, or how I should proceed... I'm sure I'm just being an airhead...

I got desperate and just eliminated the vac lines that taboo speed shop way and re-installed the old battery... still no start.

Maybe I foul'd the plugs out...time to go check.

So I figured this out.....

I was kinda like, duh... my DSMLink chip is programed for completely stock injectors and a 95 CAS when I have 1050cc injectors and a 98 CAS.... Had to go find my craptop with the serial port...

So, in other words, I had a blond moment.

On the plus side, the car is running much better now that I have removed all that other crap and solved some vac leaks there. My TiAL is staying open at idle now that I have more vacuum, which is a problem. Luckily, I have a stiffer spring that I plan to slap in it tomorrow. So, other than that, its great.
