Alright, so this problem of mine has been happening more and more lately. I did some searching but its just too broad of a subject. Ok so basically ill be driving it fairly hard usually shifting at from like 5-6, and when i go from to throw it from 2nd to 3rd, it just gets stuck in neutral kinda. Its like i hit a wall with my shifter it wont go in at all and sometimes itll kinda grab like half and itll grind a little bit. Then in order to correct all this i have to kinda jiggle it in neutral till i get it to pop in the damn gear. And this only happens in third so far. Can anyone explain why this would possibly happen??

It is driving me insane i cant even shift through my gears the same because i have to check to make sure it is actually made it into 3rd before i slam back on the gas. Also it sometimes happens when im just normally cruising but majority is when i bring it into higher rpms.

Anyone pleeease help

Sounds to me like your synchronizers are worn in 3rd, otherwise you might have a shift rail on the way out.

Ok so you dont think it would be the trans or the clutch or anything because i dont know all that much about all this. Also i dont know if its related, but 1st gear i know when im downshifting or anything into first i have to be going less then 10mph in order to get it in 1st gear at all, nothing more.

FIRST thing is to change Clutch Master Cylinder & Secondly check under Slave Cylinder Boot for sign of leaks - MANY guys are tearing up Synchros because they are too lazy to spend a day under their dash changing out Clutch Master Cylinder. Thirdly check / change Tranny Fluid.

Also check that your shift cables are adjusted properly. If you have trouble getting in 1/3/5 then this may be the culprit. Check the bushings on the tranny where the cables attach for any wear and replace as necessary, or even upgrade and throw some bearings in there if you like a firm shift, just make sure you also have a firm hand as it'll pop out unless you put it in like you mean it. Also, where does your clutch start engaging? Have you done any work to any part of the system recently? Like a clutch or anything. Make sure your master and slave aren't leaking and replace them if they are, then check to make sure the clutch is adjusted properly. Just because it's a hydraulic unit doesn't mean it doesn't need some fiddling to work properly.

Sounds like sage advice to me. :thumb:
