My 1g has suddenly stopped going to gear all together and I mean one min its fine, the next, nothing... The master clutch cylinder was leaking a little so I replaced it and bled the crap out of it... no difference. so my question is, can the slave have gone bad without any visible leaking?? should I replace that as well before guessing larger problems such as fork bending or breaking or a shot clutch?? Please help

If it just happened out of nowhere and you've already done the master just try the slave next. if that doesn't help take a look at the passenger side of your transmission case. Take a look at the cover and check for any signs of dents or cracks. It's possibly the nut that holds the gear set in place backed off and is causing the problem. First do the little things though like checking all the lines and the slave. Once you've bled the system out and you think it's good bleed it some more and try it again.

I replaced the slave and checked all lines, everything is good... still no difference... the other thing is since ive had the car the clutch was always a little soft.. after bleeding the system now 3 times the clutch feels like it always has but i still cant go into gear unless its forced and even then sometimes not at all...

It could also be either the throw out bearing, clutch fork, or maybe the clutch has just gone bad.

ok so i bled the clutch as directed in the link above with no results... i did get air out, a lot of it but the clutch feels exactly the same and shifting is just as hard :-/
How far should the slave push the fork to the left? if your looking at the front of the car and the slave is on the right... because I can see that the slave is working but looks like the clutch fork still has some room to go father...

If it's hard to push the clutch in, you may have the rod backed out too far in the master cylinder. Also check and make sure the master cylinder isn't overfilled. Keep the fluid between the two lines.

Here's a detailed example of how the master cylinder works. If this doesn't work, you may have to shim things up.
