Alright so my dsm has been sittin for about 5 months I just got back in town and wanted to take it for a warm up cruise when I got the car started I went to take off and the car drove good untill 3k rpm I have a blow through system and my turbo is blown so I unplugged the turbo so there wouldn't be a chance of a blade breakin and going into the engine. When tthe car idles I can't rev pass 3k and when it drives it don't either I had my brother rev so I could check the exhaust and when it reaches 3k it spits black smoke but don't back fire please help:cry:

Check all the piping, it may have gotten lose. If its blowing black smoke the oil seals may have went since its been sitting for quite a while. If anything else is wrong with it post it up and maybe some people have gone through the same problem and resolved it.

Good luck bro.

Ok so I checked all of my ic piping all is good nice and tight. Problem is still there I just put new gas also and it didn't change anything this engin only has 7k miles on it so seals are still pretty much new

unhooking a turbo on a turbo car usually doesnt go so good because of the super low compression.

sounds like your not getting a MAS signal check yout blow through setup. my car will do the same thing if i forget to pulg in the maf (which happens everytime i have to unplug it for something LOL)

if the seals went bad on the turbo it would be blowing white blueish smoke not black smoke... sounds to me like the car went into limp mode... does it have a check engine light on, i agree with black gst i would check all your connections on your MAS... i had the same problem with mine its running of of peramiters that are writtin in to the ecu for los of signal from the MAS

would those sensors make this problem just suddenly occur because she was runnin before i left town and i was gone for 10 1/2 months my folks started the car periodically and just these last 5 months the car wasnt started and when i came back i went to start it and this is what is happening

i have spark i pulled the plug wires and idle changed some what

and there is a check engine light but that light has been on since the engine swap and when i went to the mas translator i have a gm mas so i can run a blow through system

That's why I think something is just dirty, when a car sits, things tend to happen.

Rats move into your intake, Vac lines can dry up and suck closed, sensors can get stuck from moisture.

Lots of things happen.

Also get new plugs or clean those.

Just because your car sound different doesn't always mean they are firing fully.

there is a vac sound come from the the left center of the t/b the only vac lines i see there are the pcv and then me bov/wastgate connection is there another vac line in that vicinity?

thank you ill check everything in the morning and write back the results

ok so i replaced the spark plugs, i checked my injectors i checked for any vaccum leaks and nothin has changed still havent been able to rev pass 3k.

Well the next basic thing to do is drain the gas and get fresh stuff running in.
Cause it kinda sounds like a FPR issue, but at the same time. Sitting for 5 months weighs more on being bad gas.

i dont know if you still have the problem but i had the same issue before i bought the car it was sitting fo a verry long time in a garage thats why mine is soo clean any LOL i started checking sparkplugs fuel preasure eveything

so first make sure u have i think its 27psi of fuel preasure and make sure wen you hit on the gas the psi increase if it does good
well then i change my fuel filter witch was like 15 dollers with a tuffys discount replace it and never gave me a problem again so it could be that your fuel filter could be clogged up sorry for my spelling i have really bad spelling so hope i help a little new to the forum

she only had about 1/8 tank of gas and i put 3/4 more because i thought the same thing. how do i check the fpr ?

Its kinda one of those pain in the ass things to test, but yea you should check your Fuel Pressure and change the filter. there cheap

Also, have you taken out your injectors and had someone try and start the car to see if they even squirt good.

You could just have them clogged.

well if you dnt know how to fuel preassure this is what you do
1.take your fuel cap of to release the preasure
2.go by the fuel filter should be by the p/s fire wall under the hood thirs a bolt in top of the fuel filter i think its a 18mm take the out put your fuel preassure testter on it make sure u dnt loose that 18mm bolt i amlost lost mind anywho close the hood but the preasure tester by your wiper blade have the line going underneeth the wiperblade so it can hold it while you drive it and then it will tell you your fuel preasure not that hard simple test maybe 15 mints good luck ill be keping in touch good luck
