Wiseco Pistons + Eagle Rods, how much power can it hold?

I recently purchased an engine (brand new, never fired) that has the 2.3 stroker kit (forged crankshaft) with eagle rods and wiseco pistons. How much power do you think this kind of setup could hold (safely)? 500HP? 600HP? 700HP? The engine and head were built by a very reputable 4G63 machine shop, and ARP hardware was used on everything. Any advice would be well appreciated!

The regular eagle "esp" rods are rated for 600 hp, but you can get away with a little more. The wiseco pistons can handle pretty much anything you throw at them. I actually just bought an eagle rod/wiseco piston combo from slowboy.

i was just wonderin how much psi can a wiseco pistons can hold, im just wondering if it can take 35psi if the pin can handle it

Wiesco sells and HD version of there pistons if your really concerned about the wrist pin holding some power. You can order 6 bolt pistons with a 22mm wrist pin as well (which is basically a 7 bolt piston anyway)...

to the OP: there are some making 700+ awhp (I'll let them chime in) on Eagle rods. The answer to your question is very hard to hit on the head. There are a lot of variables. How you drive the car, the tune, how well the motor was assembled, how well the machine work was done, etc. etc....

If you want a reliable engine that will last, I wouldn't go higher than 500hp with that setup. You can certainly make 700hp, but it won't last as long. There are stronger pistons that are less street friendly out there due to a different silicone content and different expansion properties (you have to be anal retentive about warming the car up properly w/ those types of pistons). With the Eagle/Wiseco 2.3 combo, I've been told that 500hp is a good reliable number to aim for. If you're building a dedicated race car that you'll be rebuilding often, go ahead and shoot for 700.

I've got only 500 miles on mine so far. I had a blast for about a week I got the car running and had to leave for Baghdad soon thereafter

I won't be pushing them to the limit when I dyno, but I can't wait to see the results!

to this combo. I have heard of reasonably huge numbers being put down with this combo.
