Hey guys , I have a 1998 gst eclipse , I have eagle rods and got 1g rod bearings from mitsubishi but for some odd reason the bearings seem like they are off alittle . What I mean is the one half of the bearing is closer to one side of the rod and the other one is closer to the other side . It almost seems like something isn't machined right with the rods. My 2g stock bearings in there rods are perfect round and lined up , but not with the eagle rods and the 1g rod bearings . Any answers to why this could be?

Thanks for the help
Mike

NO I am putting 1g rod bearings from mach , that came in a mitsubishi box with part # MD129423 , on to eagle rods.

Ok let me get this straight. You have a 2g with a 7 bolt bottom end. You are installing 2g Eagle Rods and 1g bearings, on a 2g crank.

Is that correct?

That is what I had gathered also.

So you are trying to understand why 1G bearings (#MD129423) aerent fitting on your 2G eagle rods?! Am I missing something here?

Yes I have a 7 bolt bottom end , eagle rods for a 1998 gs-t , and it says in the box of the eagle rods "must use early rod bearings 1989-1992 " But they dont seem to fit right, or did I get the wrong bearings ship to me? Thanks

Yeah guys, you are missing the point, 2g eagle rods use early model bearings. Are you sure they sent you 89-92 bearings? Mine worked fine...

Yea man I dont know if they are the right bearings, thats why I gave the part # in the eariler post. THanks
