Hey guys little info needed here... I just had my new longblock put in, and when I got it back i realized the wire which normally hooks up right behind the throttle body is missing, I think it has something to do witht he idle, maybe TPS? Its the one that is right next to the throttle cable, its pointing sorta diagonally upward. Any idea on how I could fix that, like what parts i need and where to connect them? The idle has always been bad in my car but now its idling kind of low, but if i blip the throttle sometimes it fixes itself and idles decently at 900 rpm.

Also something that never used to happen, when i push in the clutch when the car is in neutral the revs drop about 200 rpm or so, and when i let the clutch out they go back up. Is this normal, and if not what could be the cause?

Lastly, what steps need to be taken if I decided to raise my idle just a little bit to prevent the occasional stalling that occurs? I know about turning the BISS, which direction would be to raise it, and is it just that easy or do I need to do something else in conjunction?

Thanks for any help! :)

are there other wires that are connected surrounding the one that is missing?. If it has a rough idle it is quite possible a vaccum hose that slipped off. those hoses are small. if it is a small hose...

There we go, it is the idle indicator switch. It used to have that rubber boot on it years ago, lately it was just the wire with metal tip, now its gone >< How important is that thing? I dont think I have a vacuum leak but Ill check em all again. Id like to fix that wire myself, would a novice such as myself be able to?

yes, just go to walmart and get a female spade connector, crimp on, and stick it on there.

unles the tab is broken off.

you may have to legnthen the wire, or trim some black loom off the harness to pull the wire out farther.
