1G Windshield Wiper Trouble

I'm having trouble diagnosing a problem with my windshield wipers. They don't work. I've checked the motor and it's fine. The fuses are all fine (I know because I've pulled all of them twice to check). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

about a week ago my passenger side wasnt working in a down poor. got to work and found out the nut that holds the wiper down was loose enough to to keep it from moving. hope this helps

Nuts are fine. I talked to a mechanic friend, and he checked the switch for me and said it's good. So, it might be the wiring.

Do you have power at the motor?

Only when I run a wire directly from the hot post of the battery to the terminals on the motor.

are you still having problem with your wipers not working? and if so i would check all the wiring to the motor itself,otherwise using a test light or a voltmeter to make sure you have good ground or have power getting supplied to it.

Sorry that I haven't posted in a while. My psp got stolen and I didn't have any other way to get online. Yes, I do still have trouble with it and am not getting power to the motor.I'm starting to think that it is the switch because I am getting some voltage to the switch but none to the other end.

It could also be the wire from the switch to the wiper motor. Unless you mean that you checked voltage directly from the switch terminals then yes, its the switch

I honestly have no idea what the issue is now. I can't figure out where the problem is and I am getting tired of looking. This is driving me nuts.

Do you have power at the switch, and the power on the wire to the motor where it connects to the switch?

Got a used switch and it still doesn't solve the problem. I think it might be the wiring between the switch and the motor, that's one of the only things left.

Try a continuity test at the switch to the motor. If there is I finite resistance there is a break in the wire. I'm not positive if there is a relay for it but if there is, have you or the mechanic tested for proper operation of it?

one of the fuses for the motor could be dead since it still works in other methods. try that.

I pulled all the fuses and they were all good. We think it might be a bad ground since there is power to the switch and none to the motor. The continuity is good.

Took the easy way out. I wired in a toggle switch to the wipers. Now ready for inspection to be almost legal.
