Ok guys, this may be a Vista problem or the operator. I just picked up a Palm M500 with a usb cradle. Installed palm desktop and can sync with the palm no problems. I can enter dates and notes on the palm, sync and all the info on the palm is moved on the desktop so I know that all works. The problem is when I try to put palm logger onto the palm desktop in order to move it to the palm itself i get this message "no desktop users exist. Create a new user through Palm Desktop and then start Quick Install Again"
It has been a few years since I actually had a running DSM or the need for a palm logger so I will not be suprised at all if I am doing something wrong. If that is the case or if there is actually something wrong with Vista can some one tell me how to fix it? Thanks guys.

Well guys I fingered it out. I downloaded palm desktop 6.2.2 and a hotsync fix from this site Pimlico Software home page and my problems are solved. The best thing is now from the palm I saved the logger software to a sd card. If and when the palm batteries die there is no longer a need to hotsync to my home pc, just insert the sd card. Hopefully someone else will be able to use this info and save a lot of frustration.
