After waiting patiently for about a month, my Wilwood front brake kit finally arrived from Summit Racing.

When we ordered the brake kit, we also ordered a set of scalped rotors from Speedway Motors.

Gotta love the ease of swapping out brake pads.

Here is a picture of the brakes installed. Not going to lie, they're sexy.

damn i want some rotas like those. what is the exact name of them?

Tim Zimmerman has a similar(if not the same). Brake system on his 2G...but on all four corners.
I got to peak at his car while I was there and I must admit they are ridiculous.
I suppose it's understandable when you have a 9 second dsm though.

My rotors are from Speedway also, but I am running a completely different brake rotor hat, brake caliper, bracketry design, pads, etc. from what he is using.

Though they are similar, there are alot of differences between his bolt-on kit and my front/rear kit I built.

Here is the link to my set:

I also swapped out for drilled titanium fasteners and safety wired them.

P.S., my name is Tim Zimmer, not Zimmerman.

"He" is actually a "She" (me) :shhh: No, I don't have titanium fasteners, but mine are safety wired also.

Sorry for the confusion, my apologies!

Good to see you safety wired them. I am assuming you used stainless wire with a safety wire pliers? You also loctite blue thread locker with the specified torque for the fasteners correct?

As for the Wilwood radial calipers and bracketry, they offer a bit more space between the hub assembly and the rotor whereas my calipers run a standard mount bracket and required clearancing of the spindle so the fasteners and safety wire didn't hit anything.

I am also running 12.2"x0.81" 8x7 pattern front rotors with 11.75"x0.81" 8x7 pattern rear rotors. I am running 16"x7" Rota Slipstreams with my Hoosier QTP's on a 45 offset if I remember correctly.
