So here's the deal, I have a 1997 GS N/T, which is my daily driver, that I have been plotting to turbo for a while. I have been researching about turbo-ing 420a's for a long time and have just been scheming the idea of saving up (damn you minimum wage!) and buying the items that I want part-by-part and eventually put them all together at one time period because, like I said earlier, it's my daily driver. However, even though I am on a low budget, I definitely am not trying to go the cheap ebay route on parts, that's why I plan on saving up for certain items. I am also looking into the HAHNracecraft 420a turbo kit (FMIC, piping, etc.) and have decided to go this route for my turbo build. To cut to the chase, I have just recieved a SC44 turbo for free, yes, free... from a guy that I know, and I want to find out if this baby would work on a turbo setup for my 420a. Remember that I am fairly new to the turbo world, but I do know and understand the basics of turbocharging a dsm and I was wondering what this turbo is missing for me to use it. It did not come with the turbine housing, but it does have some other components (see pictures of it below) and remember, it was free.Where could I take it to see if it even works? And where could I buy the right turbine housing and other components? I can take more pictures of the turbo charger on request and feel free to give advice, I'm here to listen and learn. Anyway, here are some pics of the SC44 Turbo:

Looks like all you would need is a turbine housing, oil drain, and oil feedline. Since you plan on using it on a 420a you probably will be using a t3 housing. You could try pm'ing Justin "jusmx141" to see if he has a extra turbine housing or give G-Pop Shop a shot.

Thanks for the reply yo, I'll check bot of them out and let you know.

It's a SC4476E, mating a standard T04E 60-trim compressor to a giant P-Trim turbine. This turbo is a horrible idea for a low-boost application....TONS of lag, and absolutely no "hit" so your torque numbers will mimmick a non-turbo.

Another issue is the P-Trim turbine is a T4 turbine, so Garrett does not make a T3-flanged P-Trim turbine housing to my knowledge. I know Precision and ATP Turbo makes these housings, so your only option if you're dead-set on using this turbo on your car is to use an aftermarket housing.
