I just wanted to make sure that nothing would go wrong with my car after these set ups. As of now I only have an Intake, Dave Brode UICP, 1g BOV. On order right now is my full 3" exhuast, Walbro 190 Fuel pump, Joe P MBC, and i already have a 14b turbo sittin in my garage.

My question is with those mods listed above, will that cause any harm to my system at all and will all those parts run smoothly with each other? I was told that with a 190 fuel pump with running a 14b turbo at 14-15 psi would be perfectly safe. Please let me know. Thanks.

well the only thing that i can think of is with a 14b, a 3in exhaust might cause boost creep. Do a search for boost creep; there are plenty of articles on it and it will give you some good information. That is all i can see that might give you some problems. If you are short of cash, then you can just rewire the stock fuel pump. The factory ECU will be able to handle a 14b turbo, running 14-15 psi, with a rewired pump. Just something to think about.

i thought having too small of an exhaust caused boost creep...???

A 3" exhaust will not cause boost creep but actually help reduce it, and since you will be removing the turbo take the exhaust manifold and O2 housing and port them. You can have someone do it for you or if you are a more hands on person you can do it yourself on the weekend with a die grinder. There's bout 10-15 HP and reduced boost creep in porting the exhaust manifold, turbine housing, oxygen sensor housing, and wastegate. But despite the first reply you are on the right path with a 3 inch exhaust, good luck and keep us posted. :thumb: :laser:

Without porting the O2 housing you may see some boost SPIKE, not creep. Perhaps that's what he meant, I don't know. One of the early-on things I did was stick a full 3" exhaust on my car, and it would spike to past 20 psi on a T25. Not good.

The rest of your mods sound safe though.

Nope, A bigger exhaust usually has less restriction. Boost creep is caused from it being easier for the exhaust to flow past the turbine and out than it is for the exhaust to flow out the wastegate. So even with the wastegate open the exhaust continues to spin the turbo up rather than going out the wastegate. That's why porting the heck out of the O2 housing helps, since it improves the flow out the wastegate.

Yes already on my T25 with no exhuast mods at all my boost spikes to 15 only for a second then drops down to 12-13. Then when it shifts gears it spikes up to 15 again only for a sec and then drops back to 12-13. Yea I will look into porting the exhuast manifold when I throw on the 3 Inch exhuast and 14b turbo.
