Last night I put my Greddy Type S BOV on my car. I used this guide. http://herpetology.com/dsm/bov.html So I connected everything as the guide said. The bottom nipple on the BOV I used a T fitting and cut the line that is connected to the wastegate just as the guide suggested. I also read that if you dont connect the bottom nipple that you can get compression surge and just connecting the bottom nipple was better for the car. So after the install and everything I took it out on a test drive and it seems to work fine at times but often when I start boosting full the car will stop for a second and go again. Its like if I were to drive hard then slam on the breakes then hit the gas again. The car only did this now that I have the BOV on and when I'm boosting. Did I hook something up wrong? I can get pictures of the install tonight. Thanks.

Did you hook up the return line for the BOV? The problem where it feels like you hit the brakes sounds like fuelcut, but I don't know if your BOV could be the cause of that

Yes the return line is connected. Here are the pics.

Judging by that picture you need to tighten that screw a lot. You should have only about 5 or 6 threads on the screw showing. In your picture it is way too soft.

If you tighten it more doesnt it show more threads since the nut would be going down? Also would having the BOV being too soft cause the fuel cut/boost cut/whatever is going on?

Well I tightened it alot to about 7-8 threads showing and now it does the cut off thing even MORE. I cant go across the RPM band without it doing that now. So I am going to losen it upa bit.

ya got 1 to many lines hooked up.
ya dont use the 2nd one ( the one you got going to the intake snorkle )

Isnt that venting into the atmosphere? I always read that you want to recirculate it (connect it to the intake snorkle).

Try unhooking the lower nipple. That one isnt NECESSARY, so try it out unhooked and see how it works. Also, make sure when you do that to cover the unused nipples (not the one on the BOV) and any other nipples you make have unhooked.

im not talking about the larger 1" or so diameter hose.im talkin about the little one that is going to the lower (smaller) barb'd fittig on the BOV

Ok, so after searching i think i have this down, but i would like to be sure that im hooking everything up right.

top nipple(a must) should be hooked up to the intake mani after the TB. Exactly what should i hook it to since i have a 1g intake and no MDP sensor. the only lines coming off of the mani are for the pcv and the brake booster?

My 1g valve was connected to the TB off of the P line i believe. I tried hooking the greddy up to that but i would have to have it adjusted all the way out for it to even start opening, but even then i got mad compressor surge.

Bottom nipple(optional) T it in with the same line the mbc is on.
