my98GST said:i also heard that the 2600 made the engine more subseptable to crank walk. Have you guys heard this theory before?
reused the 2600 and it walked in 86 miles. Rebuilt it again switched to CC 2400 with sprung 6 and had no more problems. Will an Act 2600 clutch kill a stock transmission?
Do you know how much hp a stock rebuilt transmission can hold?
True dat. I wish I replaced my clutch fork before it snapped!I don't feel the 2600 will kill your tranny on it's own. However, the extra stress on your clutch system will make it apparent which components are on their way out.. ie master cylinder, slave cylinder, and fork/pivotball. If any of these are showing signs of failure, change them out when you install your clutch.

Yeah you know what i have herd that. Is it true? What is a good clutch to go with if i am going to be around 450hp?
ACT 2600 with a 6 puck sprung hub will support over 500 lbs/ft torque. Actually 513 to be exact. I have the same combo on my car. Before the 6 puck I had a street disk and it didn't feel any different.
