Will a non-turbo O2 sensor work in a turbo car?

I have a 1990 talon awd turbo. i was wondering if the O2 sensor out of a Non-Turbo Talon would work for me? So my question is if the O2 sensors the same in the turbo and non turbo models.

Yes i did search.

Sensors are the same but the length of the wires that attach the sensor are not. The turbo ones have longer wires. When I turboed my car I had to extend my nt o2 sensor wiring. I have recently replaced it with a turbo 02 sensor. THeyre not too pricey and is allways a good thing to have new and in good shape. I say buy the correct one.

Check the internet theyre only like 50 or so. Sparkplugs.com is where I got mine I think.

You can also get a universal one and cut and splice then new one onto the old connector. It's not hard and it's cheaper.

According to oxygensensors.com the part numbers for an OE o2 sensor for a 90 TSi and 90 n/t both cross reference Mitsubishi part MD136308.

Brand new OE is under 50 bucks, I would stick with that personally.

yeah i had a N/T one laying around so i used that. I made the wires longer but i'm gonna go ahead and get an OEM one. The car still runs the same. So i guess that wont the problem.

Wow, Oxygensensors.com has the OE one listed as the same price as the universal. Yea, I would pick that one up as well.

Far too many people mess up the "simple" splicing of a universal sensor and damage the ECU so we strongly recommend that people buy the OE replacement. The fact that it's available at pretty much the same cost is just gravy.
