Wierd problem please help

like when i am in 4th or 5th gear when i want to punch it sometimes it like doesnt hesitate but like takes a while to acellarate. but when i push the clutch in and let it idle for like 3 secs and go back to 4th or 5th gear it goes away. Is this a tranny problem or plugs or wire problem or to much fuel. i am running stock 1g 6bolt in a 2g car

Check your Plug Gap and wire conditions.

gap should be .028

I had a similar problem with my 6 bolt swap but i had a 1g head too. I would have shitty timing in high gear mostly 3rd and up it would try to pull it all the way back to 0 and i couldnt tell what the hell was going on my 02 values were between .92 and .98 and the EGTs never went above 1600 what was wrong was the CAS i was using for some reason just didnt jive i switched to a 93-94 CAS the black lid hall effect type sensor and the problem went away mebe that will help you.
