So there I am just driving, not really boosting. I'm crusing at 65 mph and my car starts vibrating like crazy. I left off the gas and then give it gas and everytime I give it gas it vibrates, almost like a misfire. It happens like once a week, at highway speeds. It comes out of nowhere, I don't really boost around for I have to fix a boost leak. I can't figure it out. It happens for like 5 mins and then it goes away. Its not the wheel balance, its not misfiring. Any ideas?

Could it be the bov piston being stuck open or stuck closed? Just a guess. I have a 1g crushed bov. I haven't tested it yet but I crushed it to open at 18 psi.

Let me know what you guys think.

Check your wheel bearing's, mine done that, that it got worse the more I drove it.

Ill check it but i don't think its the wheel bearing. I'm guessing because its inconsistant and when it does happen, it happens when I press the gas pedal.

I had the same problem and found the harness clip to the ignition transistor pack had broken and the engine vibration was making it fall off just enough to make the car misfire. It only seemed to happen in 4th or 5th gear under very small loads. Pretty much vibrated the car like it had dropped a cylinder. Even the logs on DSMLink didn't show anything but the variation in RPM.

Ill def check out the transistor pack, I did take it off to take out the coils a few weeks ago.

How can it be a tie rod? Just curious. I know where they are located but how do I check them out to see if they are still good?

If it was a tie rod, wouldn't it be consistant vibration?

What happens is, that I'm cruising and the car feels like its hits the brakes and the engine starts vibrating almost like a misfire. Like something is being tumbled around in the intake feeling. It freaks me out because it happens out of nowhere. Today it happened for 3 seconds and dissapeared.
