Wierd after market stereo problem

I put in an aftermarket stereo. When you turn the car off, it stays on for like 20-30 secs. then turns off. Don't know what the problem is, bought a aftermarket wire harness to hook up the stereo with. Have no idea of why its doing this and would like to stop. If anyone else has had this problem and knows how to take care of it, please let me know! Thanks

Yeah, it will always do that. I'm assuming that you mean the stereo stays on, not the car right? If the car does, kick ass, you got yourself a cheap turbo timer.

i dont think the car stays running when he shuts off..i have the same thing with my 1g.... my radio and SAFC stay on for like 15 seconds after the car is completely off.

Thats good to hear. A couple other guys I know don't have that problem, but whatever, its not hurting anything. Just wanted to make sure its normal. Thanks guys.
