wideband with v3

ok so i am finishing a build on a 99 gsx auto to mt conversion and a 6bolt swap. i have installed my dsmlink v3 and i am putting in the wideband o2. i looked for the answer on ecmlink.com but it wont let me register so here is my question. the wire from the guage that you use for logging has a few areas that it can be hooked up, if i use the secont stock o2 location and eliminate the stock sensor is that any problem? anything i should know when doing this?

You can use the rear o2 input at the ecu but i would weld a bung for the sensor BEFORE the flex pipe. Leave the rear 02 in place!!! Good luck!

has no cat on it. the purpse for just using the bung is because it is the stock exhaust and it will soon be replaced and why go through the trouble if i am just going to get a new one.
Will it work fine with a no cat in the second o2 bung?

With no cat it will be fine.

Expect about a third of a second delay on your wideband with that location. You can use any open input on the ecu but most would use the rear o2.

You should register at the dsmlink forums. It is an exclusive membership only for dsmlink owners. Where did you buy dsmlink from? If it is not directly from ecmtuning then you need to have the person you bought it from transfer ownership to you by contacting ecmlink. The forums there are supposed to be incredible and by many accounts worth the cost of dsmlink themselves.
