So, many may know I have been building My car for 7 months now and have ran into many many problems with trying to get it started. Well yesterday I got it to start for a second and today I fixed the fueling issue and found out I needed a jump and spark plugs.

Well an hour ago me and my brother go and get a 950 jump starter, battery charger, and spark plugs. And guess what.... It STARTED!!!! I got it to start and it would stay on for a while before dying. I started it like 3-4 times and couldn't get it to idle for more than a couple minutes, so I started to check things.

Well I pulled the plugs and the number one cylinders spark plug is still clean, like brand spankin new still. The rest are brownish black like they should be. I also put a inspection camera in the holes and the piston is clean and the rest have gas or oil or something on them (a little, normal?). I also had a check engine light for #2 injector malfunction p0202.

What would cause this spark plug to not be sparking? I would think it would've been the check engine light related, but it's in 1 not 2 cylinder. I'm getting no cels for anything else but the 2injector.

Side note: I do know that it's related to not getting fuel or spark, but what exactly should I be checking? I'm not trying to ask a dumb question, I just been trying to here my cars heart best for so long and so many bloody knuckle hours have been out into this and I would rather have some advice to what I should be checking and doing.

Dumb question, but are the injector plugs on the correct injectors? If it's throwing a code for injector #2, and #1 is the injector that doesn't seem to be working, they might be switched.

Either way, I would check cylinder 1 for fuel and spark. Spark will be the easiest, so you might want to start there. Unplug all 4 injectors, leave the cylinder 1 spark plug out, but connected to the plug wire. Have someone turn the engine over while you ground the spark plug to see if it produces spark. If it does, then I'd move on to fuel.

You should check the injector to make sure it is good. I know on a stock injector there should be a 2-3 OHM resistance, but that will probably be different for your Bosch 1600s. Maybe someone can chime in on how to test these.

It could also be possible that the injector wiring is damaged somewhere. This post is a good start.

You definitely have an injector problem. Check and make sure you injectors harnesses are connected properly then check and make sure you have your ignition wires install right. If all checks out, check for spark and fuel. If there is spark and no fuel then it may be a bad injector. Test it, if it is good then then it may be a damaged wire.

The injectors wires, if stock are too short to cross over to another injector. Besides, they come out of the wire loom in cylinder order.

I call it an injector issue. Do the resistance reading across the injector - which should be between 2 and 4 ohms cold.

Wow, I go out to outback and come home and I have all these great replys.

Thanks guys, your the best. I figured so, I'll be checking them tomorrow. I did a wire tuck and fuse box relocation, but it did it right trust me. This is the second engine harness I done to my car and this one is dam good if I must say so myself, but I will cut into it if I have to.

I'm just so happy it started. I'll check the wires to make sure there not switched, then I'll check the injectors themselves. I actually switched out to the rc1200 for the first start up and break in. I just thought the 1600 would be a little more difficult to tune.

Anyhow, anymore input is much appreciated. I'll be doing everything everyone here is suggesting and coming back to let you all know the outcome of each test.

Oh and the msd wires are brand new, I also just ordered a COp set up and a dynatek arc-2 cdi box with plug and play, should I try to install that or just hold back. I wanted to just wait, but a friend told me I should just try it, but I don't know.

I would just wait until it's running right before you attempt to install the COP and dynatek box. There's no reason you shouldn't be able to get it running the way it is right now. No need to create more work before it is actually running right. Good luck!

Ok, so I went ahead and ordered some new 2200cc rci injectors and harness just for back up. I haven't been able to get into the car again to test things. Me and my wife went house hunting today and hopefully we will get this 2bd 2bt condo. If we do then I will have a bigger garage to work on the gsT and then I will be able to get it done. I'm hoping to work on it before we move, so I'll keep you all posted.

Thanks again,

Anthony B.
