I blew a 2 head gaskets with in 700 miles i dont know why.. Maybe a wrapped or maybe head studs.. I dont know can you guys please help me out

I got it resurfaced but for head studs and gasket i using oem... Should i step using after market parts if so which ones should i use.... Can you please give me some websites to go to ....... I getting the head check for wrapping here on sunday or monday

i used new oem... i think im goin to get some arp studs... im hoping its only a head wrapped.... what gasket should i use i want a good after market heavy duty one

You should be fine with the oem gasket assuming your deck and head are true. Conversly it wont matter what you put in there for a gasket if the block is warped or head is.

Is the gasket blowing in the same place each time?

Oem composite.

Also what's your mods list?

all the more mods i have are a big 16g and bore .30 over idk where is blow last time but this time it blow at all cylinders

Are you getting an oversized headgasket to match the bore? What PSI are you boosting to.

i dont think he has anwered one question.. LOL

Did you re-use the head studs? because you arent supposed to.. you should buy new ones for every change.
Check if you BLOCK annnnnd HEAD is WARPED not wrapped (!?!?!)
Do you keep blowing the HG in the same place? look at the old blown HG. do you see the burn or broken part? is it blown there again?

and make sure you are tightening the Brand New head studs which oem or ARP should be fine to the correct torque specs then after a few heat cycyles re-tighten to correct specs again incase.

yea im using oversized gasket im only running like 8 pounds ( i still have the stock boost gage) yes i used new oem head studs i did see my last head gasket my dad throw it away .. this time it burnt out on all three of the cylinder sides if you know what i mean

i would get a straight edge and some feeler gauges and check the block in a x pattern from edge to edge across the top of the block ive run into this only once befor where the block needed to be deckedits rare but does happen

What You need to do is get a set of ARP head studs. Then pick up a MLS headgasket. Finally get the block and head checked for any kind of warp and fix any that may be there. Once that has been done use a different torque wrench then you have been using to make sure it's not a bad torque wrench causing the problem. Follow proper torque settings and sequence and I guarantee that you will have 0 issues with the headgasket popping!:thumb:

i did clean off the old head gasket off with a scraper and cleaner.... i taking the head off Saturday hopefully that will give me some answers.... i have two questions 1. if i do need a new head ebay has one with all new cams rocker lifter the whole nine yards it also has a 3angle valve job for 285 it is a Remanufactured but is does have a warranty is it worth it. 2. if i would get my head resurface how much should i get shaved... like as much as they can go or???? i heard if you shave it as much as it will go it will give it better compression..........thanks

To solve your problem either have your head's sealing surfaced machined to be level (in most cases less than .010" will correct any issues) or replace the head, and buy a set of ARP studs along with a new OEM composite gasket...never reuse a composite head gasket. Torque the head studs using the instructions in the box, and your sealing issues should be gone for good.

i know i cant spell worth a poo, since my engine is bored .30 over what size head gasket is that, a 85.5mm, 86mm or a 87mm or bigger or smaller

yeah im about 95% sure but ill check tomorrow when i remove the head. it should say on the top of the pistons what bore like .20 or .30 ect.
