I was searching for a car with my mom when I was 16. She was looking at Cavaliers and I was looking through Auto Trader at 70 Barracudas. Then one day we were driving down the road and this old dumpy car lot had a 96 Talon sitting right out front with a full blitz body kit, some aftermarket wheels, and a big old fart can on it. That was my first DSM. The whole time I was drving it I was seeing 1g's and always liked the body style a lot better. 4 years later I finally got one.....unfortunately, mom's not pitching in on cars anymore and it's a little bit of a project. At the same time though I like getting my hands greasy.

Because of paul walker riced eclipse on fast on furious. whent i was on 6 grade i was im going to have one went i have the money.. them im now 20 i was driving with my wife i told her look that eclipse is for sale and i told her and is turbo can i go look at it she said i guess.. just dont take long she told me so i went in to the shop and i ask can i speak with the owner he said im the owner.i ask him how much for the the eclipse he said 4800 i was like man i only have a 1500 i told him and talk to him to leave it in payments he said no and i call him he said yes but he only give 7 weeks so i was paying almost 700 a week for 7 weeks. So any ways i ask him so whats wrong with car he said it need a new alternador and the racing seats needs new upholtery i told him ok. i told him can i turn it on he said yea so i turn it on i was oh shit. Man she was loud i notice she was modded with cams and everything with that big T3 turbo i fall in love with her i rev it i was this thing has power. Thats how i fall in love with dsm. Now present time i dont have that gst i trade it her for a 95 gsx and ban my timing belt breaks now i already bought a new engine and im modding. i love dsms i told her my dsm is like my other girl she gets mad she goes yea screw me and our kid i just go and she goes you should married the car..

My 1st was a 99 Eclipse RS with Lambo Door hinges, gloss black, and had a yellow and black interior. Paid.....for it, turboed it, then got sick of my buddies who had stock 4g63's running 14psi of boost and I was stuck under 8psi on the 420a, so then I sold her and got my current 91 Talon TSi AWD 20psi and she's sexy as hell!!

My brother in high school got a car before me, even though hes younger. He got a 91 eagle talon NA 5 speed. He blew the head gasket on it, and it sat in our drive way for a year. My parents were fed up with it and wanted scrap it and my brother was also too lazy to fix it. I bought it from him for 175 bucks and some "green vegetative substances", fixed the gasket and had myself my first eagle talon. I have never owned any other type of car before that or since. I also feel like I had no choice but to join the DSM world with my first car being one.

I got my GSX because i was sick of all my friends having mustangs and thinking they were the shit cus they had their American muscle car. I got my GSX in July and by the end of summer none of them could even touch my car i would hands down pull on them stock every time and i loved it. Ive been hooked ever since now I've built my motor and got an hx35 and they aren't even anywhere near my level i love it my GSX puts them to shame every time. I also love that I can go to car shows and meets and pretty much always be the only 1g DSM around, instead of pulling into a lot of cars and seeing 20 mustangs. I wouldn't have it any other way I'm hooked on DSM's for life.

My first ride in a DSM came when i was a kid. My brother, who was in the Marines at the time, had a 1g turbo. Im not sure if it was AWD or FWD, all I know is it "sounded like an airplane" when he hit the gas. I was in love! Jump forward about 10 years, and I find myself in the 2nd DSM i rode in. At this point I knew enough about cars to know that turbo basically meant fast. It was a 97 GST. I know it wasn't stock, but I'm not sure what all had been done to it. After this, I got my first real taste of AWD. The same brother that took me for a ride as a kid now had a 91 TSi AWD. The fact that I couldn't move my head when he launched was all it took. Now I'm 22 and i have a DSM of my own. 95 TSi AWD. I love that car almost as much as I love life itself. The reasons I bought it are simple. Point the nose where it needs to go, it will take a curve as almost fast as you're willing to push it. The most obvious reason, however... BOOOOOOST!!!

Fast and the Furious was my inspiration, I wanted an exact replica of that that thing for years! Thank God I didn't do it! I can't stand cars that look like that now! I'm just glad I grew out of that, and decided to keep a mostly stock looking car. I got my RS about 2 yrs ago for my first car. Dad saw it on the way back from a job and knew I'd love it. He went to look at it a week later. Headliner was falling down, big ole hole in the down pipe, leaked oil pretty bad, paint was chipping off the bumper really bad where they had backed into a pole, stains in the seats, hatch rods were shot, all the usual stuff. Dad bought it and worked on it every night at a car dealers shop that we know (I never thought anything of it about him going there every night for 3 weeks) He had me drive the family over there to look at a 40th anniversary mustang that the guy was selling. My eclipse was right next to it. I saw the mustang and thought, that's nice, but couldn't take my eyes off the eclipse. Dad just smiles and says you like that car don't you? why don't you sit in it? I proceeded to do so and he hands me the keys and tells me to start it, then he told me it was mine. I about had a heart attack. Its been my DD ever since. Had my problems here and there but love it to death. Over the summer My buddy called me up telling me His uncle had a '95 GS-T (that immediately caught my attention) and said he didn't want it sitting in his garage anymore (motor was out of it and it just sat there for years) said $600 and he said I could have it. Got my dad to go look at it with me, I freaking fell in love. Handed him $500, loaded it up, and took her home. Its pretty much sat there since then because I've lost my job and everything, but I love these cars to death. DSM for life!

I also got my first ride in one when I was a kid. It was by my step bro' he had a 91 TSI(awd) with 405 WHP. first time we were in the rain and it just pulled. Rain didnt matter and I fell in love. Though I have a gst I will get a 1G AWD eventualy.

2. Live in Canada so the AWD is fun and life saving.
3. Everybody up here has got a 240sx.

Friend took me for a ride in his fully built TSi. Showed me the DSM forums. Fell in love with the look of the 2g Eclipse. So now I have a 98 2g Eclipse that i have a love hate relationship with. But she still puts out when I want her to. So she's a keeper. Hahaha

That's cool! I remember going over to my uncles house when I was 10 years old and there was a white 1g GSX sitting under a tree with the hood off of it and two guys under there. I told my uncle "what a piece of crap" he said "no kiddo that's a race car" Right about then the guys started it up and the only thing I could do was smile!! Ever since I wanted one took me years to find one that fit my bill, and its still not EXACTLY what I wanted. Damn transmissions..

Why? my fisrt eclipse was not a dsm but i fell in love with it at first sight it jsut seemed to call to me it was the 01 spyder gt all blakc very sexy and just it's sound made me dam near cum it was a dam good car for the 2 years i had it before the engine took a dump. Then i was on foot for 5 years waiting for the inheritance to go through so i could get my next car i started looking at Eclipse's. then i fell for the one i have now it's in better hands then the last owner.
