I'd like to replace my positive battery cable at some point. (see my other post). Would like to avoid $100 price for the part at the dealer. Would Autozone or Advanced Auto parts have a good OEM one or basically a generic one? OK to use one of those? Any place online that has the real battery cable and not a generic (cheap) one?

You can get them at Autozone. That's where I got mine. :thumb:

When I put my battery in the back I needed long cables. Went to welders supply store and saved big bucks...

yeah at a welding store its called Welding Lead. I think it only comes in black though, its very high quality and i used it. Or you could use some 2,0,or 00 guage Power wire to run car Amps with. Sure it looks fancy but its some thick ass wire, I dont know how well it holds to gas, oil and other shit though.

Yeah but isn't it important to get the correct battery cable? I mean the dealer mentioned the one I have is a 2 piece one (stock one).

You go out to the car with some string.
You run the string along the path the OEM starter cable goes.
You measure that length.
You go to Autozone and tell the guy behind the counter you need a new battery cable for your starter. Tell him it needs to be X" long.
He hands it to you.
The "two piece" the monkey at the dealership is telling you about is that there is one cable that runs to the starter, and another set of cables that run to the rest of the electrical system.
You get the new starter cable, making sure you have a good battery terminal on it/for it.
Install and then make sure everything that was connected to +12VDC before is connected there again and it will be fine.

Don't let a salesman confuse you. It's a battery. You connect everything to where it's supposed to be connected and it's done.

Thanks. I figured since this is a tuner forum that people would be all "no you want the mega battery cable that is so much better than the stock one".
