Who makes 1g dsm gas tanks??

I have been searching all over for a new gas tank for my 1992 gsx and can't find anything! They are discontiued from the mitsubishi, and it seems no aftermarket ones are available! Does anyone know?

Your best bet is junkyards. Call around and hopefully there's one that hasn't had a hole punched in it. Nothing else, they can keep an eye out on one for you when a DSM shows up. Worse case scenario, get an aftermarket fuel cell Summitracing.com has some that are not very expensive.

For $827 I'd use a fuel cell instead

thanks, i will mostly just get a fuel cell, my tank is rusted to shit and i am about to do a fuel pump and i know for a fact that the studs will break off, i have soaked them in penitrating oil for months now and it isnt gonna help this one.

you could get 2 or 3 fuel cells for that price. Saves weight too.

I found mine on DSMtrader.com. Someone was selling theirs and I picked it up for 25 bucks. Nothing was wrong with it at all, the only problem was shipping it. He had to put a lot of moth balls in the packaging (to mask the smell) and he flushed it out a lot. He also had a friend that worked at UPS, so he got lucky on shipping it.
