Who is running QM Gear-Drive HD Clutch Disks?

Who is running the QM Gear-Drive HD Clutch Disks ? Is it worth the upgrade? I just dropped my tranny to find all the teeth stripped out of one of the disk. Wish I could have the center replaced as the disk only has DYNO time on it. If I switch will I have more longevity. I think the difference between the two set-ups is $100.

Im running a gear drive set up with no issues, im not making crazy power tho. I have about 3k on it roughly, and my understanding of the reason for making the geardrive was to prevent hub and input shaft stripping. the gear drive unit has a much bigger surface area to distribute power thru than a standard disc.

Yes. The gear-drive disks are designed to help relieve the stress put on the tiny little splines of the standard disks. Obviously that doesn't make them indestructible but if you're stripping splines then you definitely need the gear-drive setup.

I believe I am the only one that sells the disk packs separately. Considering that I am the reason that they were produced for our application.

After the PTT blew up and stripped my trans input shaft I switched to the Gear-Drive HD Clutch and have been running it for years now. When I sent my trans in to TRE the clutch disk were in great shape and didn't even need to be replaced. I'm probably in the first group of cars who even ran the clutch . I know Tim put a lot of time in the design. He and I talked a lot about the clutch and Its everything he stated! I have had no issues and love the clutch. It has a great feel and is definitely worth the extra money
