Florida/Cali,
a friend of mine was following me and said when i was down shifting there was a puff of white smoke?

Its most likely your valve guides. when the throttle body shuts (when you downshift) it creates suction in the cylinder which can pull oil from the head through the valve guides causing the white smoke. Its probly not a huge deal, just check your oil every now and then and try to get it fixed eventually. Dont use stopleak or anything this can gum up your head and decrease preformance.
