at idle there is no smoke coming out the exhaust, when i start the car, but when i give it a little gas lots of smoke start puffing out.

What can cause me to puff out these smoke?

also can a bad turbo make me puff out white/black smoke?

There are alot of different things that can cause your car to smoke. White smoke is usually associated with coolant, black is either oil or burnt fuel. Burnt oil is sometimes dark greyish/blue. If your rings are shot then you could be burning oil, a bad turbo would also cause burning of oil. A blown headgasket can cause white steam in the exhaust. Old Valve stem seals can also cause you to burn oil. Hope this helps. Do a compression check to see if your head gasket is done.

well, the headgasket just been change. my bro said the smoke was blackish, but my turbo has a blown seal. do u think my turbo is what causing me to blow out smoke?

If the turbo is in bad shape then yes they have been known to cause this type of problem. I would still do a compression check though (it is stupid not to. you just did a head gasket swap, you need to know how it turned out). It also could be bad oil control rings on your pistons, or bad valve stem seals. I would check them all before assuming its the turbo.

okay i will go ahead and double check tomorrow....for sure it cant be anything other since all seal and gasket was changed. oh the engine was rebuild but i'll still double check.
i know for a fact that the turbo is bad tho since if i remember a seal is shot which is causing it to leak oil i think.

did the compression test and everything seem good. that limits my choices of problem down.

If the smoke is a bluish/black (oil) then most likely its either your valve stem seals, or turbo. If your compression check turned out ok then most like this is your problem (even thoughthe piston oil control rings could still be bad, but I doubt it).
