When my car is running there is a whining sound coming from the passenger side somwhere near the belts or maybe it is one of the pulleys but I don't see any wobble in the pulleys. Could it be something is going out like the altenator or something. Please help this noise is really getting annoying and I don't want to have to tow it home. Thanks for all the help.

PLEASE HELP!!!! My car sounds really bad. The whining is not coming from the belt but I don't know if this is what the alternator does when it is going out. It follows the the RPM"s so I really think it is something belt related but I don't know if that is accessory belt or timing belt. Someone please help me.
