i have this thread
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newbie-forum/300333-97-projectors-95-body.html#post151545390

and now i have a specific question. i apologize to mods for starting the new thread on it, but the 1st one sort of sunk, so please, let me ask this question in a new thread.

so, we are installing 97 bumper/projectors on 95 body. matter of fact, we already have one headlight bolted just for trial. fits.
in my 1st thread, i said that i remember only one plug going to OEM headlights, and projectors having two plugs. so i was right, actually. old i am, but not senile.
here's the question:
new projectors have 2 plugs, both 2 prong, one with black and red wire and one with black and red/blue wire. the OEM plug is 3 prong and has black, red, and blue wires to it.

i am assuming that i will have to:
1. cut all the plugs
2. splice black wires together
3. splice red wire to red wire and splice blue wire to red/blue wire.

am i thinking correct? then, of course, losely hanging black and red wires on projectors have to be spliced to the marker side light, black to black and color to color.

also, should i use g'ol electrician tape or those "screw on caps"? maybe pack them with electrician grease so that they don't oxydize?

If I were you man I would get me a test light and start figuring out what each wire does with the switch open and closed and with the high beams on. I wouldn't cut anything until I figure it out on the oem lights! I've done it before for my friends 95 gs and it worked out fine. I would also solder it and use shrink tubing so you wont have problems with shorts in the future. Just some ideas you don't have to listen to me.:shhh:

well, i tried one headlight 1st, and simply spliced into wires, without cutting plugs, and it all worked perfect. so we had bumper installed, installed passenager side headlight, then i spliced into the driver side harnes - and it all worked perfectly either. all lights worked exactly the way they were supposed to be.
then son went to the gym, comes back - high beam light is on continuously and high beam bulbs have maybe just a glow. regular lights appear to be working fine, turns work fine halos work fine, parking lights work fine.
i tried soldering, can't, my soldering iron is not powerful enough.
it did work fine before he drove the car. and make things better, chilton i have does not even have headlights in wiring diagram, and OEM headlight wiring is hidden inside the headlight, so there's no way to trace it without tearing headlight apart.

here's update:
i took good look inside the OEM headlights. well, the three prong harness splits inside into two 2 prong plugs, one for driving lights and one for highbeams. have no doubt, those will match the projectors plugs just fine. but to get them out, i'll have to ruin the OEM headlights housing, as plugs won't go out through the current wiring hole, too small.

ok, it's all good now. i have taken the easy way: removed OEM harnesses from the old headlights. they clicked right into the projectors 2 prong adaptors. everything works fine.
so, if someone needs 95 headlight lenses, they are sitting in front of my property on Wax road in Covington, WA. someone, actually, was looking for those few days back here. they are free to take.
