Which Transfercase Fluid in 2ga Auto GSX

I got a 95 GSX with auto tranny. Had to change my oil pan and finished that but ended up spilling some transfercase fluid so i decided to change the transfercase fluid too. I asked my dad what i should use and he told me to just use normal motor oil. So i put in 5w-40 rotella t-6 synthetic motor oil. I ran it a little bit (in snow) and it didnt feel right. Im not sure if its the oil, snow, or the fact i havnt driven it in 2 months. I just need to know whats the most reccomended type of oil to use. I want the best for my car. And also, how much oil does the transfercase actually need?

Uhh don't listen to your dad anymore, it takes gear oil.... 75-90 or thicker....

gl-4 75/90 .. not a lot drain it well and fill it with half a Qt. maybe a little more not much
